FORME/23
The everted canvases of the FORME series offer the viewer a pictorial practice which, going beyond the two-dimensionality of the support, becomes an experience and enters the reality of the viewer.
The works become three-dimensional and present themselves as part of the environment in which the spectator moves, urging him to reposition himself, to move to better perceive them.
The lines, whether straight, curved or broken, then become real forms: animals perhaps, or architecture, even objects, in a multiplicity of shapes that are all the more alienating as they are physically close.
The shadows and lights created by these forms then change what initially seemed confined to the plane into a silent but concrete presence to be questioned, in an extreme attempt at aesthetic sublimation of the present and of the everyday.
